saturday, 4th september
suzanne lacy, an artist using one of the houses, had her opening today. the house was not lifted today on the plattform as planed. a lot of people were there, visiting, playing music and so on…
also…
toki bang! the rabbit hutch (farmers storage) is finished!
and we still hope to see at least one of the houses getting lifted on the plattform as long as we are here. now they promised us to lift it on monday (the last day we are here).. we will see.
friday, 3rd september
this night there was a taifun in anang, tearing off trees, billboards,etc.. on our building site it riped off the plans and broke down some furniture and plants.
nevertheless, we continue.
the farmers storage turns out really nice shake (schindel) wall and roof.

saturday, 21st august
the countdown is started: 15 days to the opening (on sunday 5th september) and still a lot to do and to organize.
the workshop is doing really well. this afternoon for example 19 persons joined to the workshop. and our personal pride is that the groups were very different:
-6 teenager volunteers (one of them came a few times already)
-in bom-vaik (a neighbor who is coming very often and helping a lot with the furniture)
-a group of 6 young adults (from korea, usa, germany)
-a family with ajumma (mother), ajuhssi (father) (the first time a father joins the workshop with his family!!) and their 3 kids
-a ajumma friend of this family (their neighbor) and her son.
besides this of course the 3 carpenters, the gardener, the info-team (that are really helpful for example running now a big part of the building workshop) and our team. the nice thing about this evolution is also very different tasks that are developing: we had some planting, painting (waterproofing), bench building, chaise-bordelaise building, mini-chair building, big frame building (with the carpenters), shelf building in the same time! also the gardener did a guerilla planting action with high-school students.
somehow we realized that the communication went through, people know what is going on at our building site through friends,..
thursday, 19th august
today: same same but different. construction company raised up the tower (not everything as planned..) and our 10 students came for the second day and were twice as effective as yesterday! we built with them together mini-frames for the rabbit house, made the floor for the farmers storage, the shelf and the window frames for the greenhouse.
tuesday, 17th august
we didn’t expect so, but the teenagers really love doing the insulation in the houses.
i showed them the stop-motion videos that i am doing to explain why there is always a camera. maybe they are watching the movie now..?
the info-team helped the mother and the girl that already built 2 children chairs building a small book holder. the girl came to me with a “technical” drawing, asking if i can cut this wood pieces for her.
the carpenters also set up the frames for farmers storage - which is, more than a storage, the rabbit cage and a duck house!
